IOCI performed a gap analysis on existing and needed communication and oversight routines. We identified areas to enhance execution discipline and worked with the executive team (ET) to design criteria and routines that manage organizational performance and drive results. Our specifics:

• Leadership – worked with the ET to agree on a unified approach for prioritizing, communicating and driving business goals.
• Strategic alignment – supported the ET in designing a transparent and structured approach to communicating priorities and aligning key resources to them (e.g., priority management forums and monthly business reviews).
• Priority management – to promote a unified approach and reduce conflict among the ET members, IOCI proposed a forum for priority management, headed by the ET, to:
  • Evaluate the performance of existing priorities against business goals and decide which ones tightly align with goals while stopping those that no longer align.
  • Commission new business initiatives based on specific business results criteria.
  • Monitor and measure the results of ongoing business initiatives.
  • Apply specific business-driven criteria for exiting non-performing initiatives.
